so the race this weekend was a washout for me, it was only barely 40 degrees and pouring rain in delaware so i decided not to race, but i went anyway to spectate and it was crazy how muddy the course was after the first lap. stuck around will after the B's and my friend botto's truck kinda got stuck in the mud but we got it out. then that night was eileens cousins wedding and that was pretty fun and interesting. the only let down was the food, wasnt that good but they did have sam adams octoberfest beer and it was awesome.

just bought some new gear for racing, got this awesome skinsuit for really cheap:

so watch out! next race is november 8th for me, but until then more training it is!

so the NACCCS were fun but i have no more interest in going back there anytime soon, too many maps are needed to navigate and apparantly boston is actually like 5 cities in one so street names repeat themselves in some places. confusing. also, it doesnt look like a city, doesn't smell bad and to many god damn white people. i don't get it. but the people who put the NACCCs together and who are messengers/in the bike seem are rad people. also they have a beach in the city so thats where i was once i fixed my slightly slipping cog on sunday which prevented me from doing the main race! pictures to come soon.

got back last night at almost midnight so i took today off to recover. chilled at the park for a while with people and then met up with eileen and rode out on kelly drive and had a mini picnic before she went to work and i went up to manyunk to get tattooed! shes so cute <3

got tattooed for like 3.5 hours and got hooked up, also got a sweet t-shirt of the shop in obnoxios purple and lime green, haha. so i got a sweet sugar skull in my elbow pit and the screeching weasel dude on the side of my wrist, they rule. pictures also to come.

so all in all life is rad right now!

and i guess we've reached the point of weird awkwardness haven't we in other non-related issues.

so yeah just got back from the NACCCs in boston, and boston is def no philly. home is where the heart is and all that shit i gotta say. its just to nice up there, wide streets, no trash o anything smelly, shitty pizza, and theres like no black people or bums!

Getting around there you need like 4 maps just to figure out where youre going since boston is technically made up of like 4 cities and boston itself so a lot of the time we werent in boston but were in "boston". i dont get it, its stupid, like if west philly was its own city. but once you kinda get used to it its not terrible.

we didnt get in till like 2am friday and the main race wasnt on a closed course like every other NACCCs so it was a lot harder if you werent from boston, and my cog was slipping a little so i ended up not racing and hanging at a checkpoint, but someone had a lockring tool so my bike issues were taken care of.got back around 1130 last night, woo.

getting tattooed today and picnicing in the park with eileen, things are going great <3

Then we both woke up at like 6am for no reason and decided to go to the melrose diner for breakfast, it was nice. Then we went riding doing some errands and then went for a ride on west river drive.

It's weird and nice at the same time that we're so comfortable around eachother so quickly, I had a booger and she picked my nose, it was hilarious haha

Posted via LiveJournal.app.
